Process Letter
- Being heavy 3D animation focused in my courses, I try to merge these skills into video art. On my main project, Kung Fu Camera V2, I experimented with the transitions from a 3D atmosphere to real footage specifically rendered to achieve a computer screen. I approached to make two viewpoints when the viewer is looking at the computer screen and out of it when the viewer looks back at the alien character. I created new techniques that I’ve never tried before, such as various glitch effects collaborated into sequence, typewriter effects, and moving spotlights to imitate a triggered alarm. I recently became comfortable enough to voice act into my projects this semester as well. I used certain voice effects to create an alien voice while I recorded. Prior to forming the concept of this project, I initially wanted to create a forensic game to find the suspect to something that appeared on the footage. I created this work in similar to my other projects, such as a storyline and character development.

Work Statement:
Experimenting with various AI controlled visuals from inputting a single image. I titled my final piece “What” in the unfamiliarity in what AI has created. AI is still advancing and while it has progressed so much in a small amount of years, it still creates what only makes sense to itself.
